On December 14th, Warner Music announced that their relationship with Africori, sub-Saharan Africa’s largest distribution service, will be expanded with a sub-publishing deal.

Back in April, it was first announced that Warner Music would invest in this African streaming service. Now they have expanded their relationship in the effort to ““offer new opportunities for African artists to collaborate with top creative songwriting talent from around the world.”

Matthieu Tessier, who will be the Warner Chappell Music France’s managing director starting January 5th, stated “This new collaboration offers us a great opportunity to promote new African songwriters and contribute to the renown of their music worldwide. Master KG’s success is a great example of how we can develop talent and help amazing songs to cross borders.”

Africori owner Yoel Kenan made a statement of his own regarding the matter: “This new partnership provides a great opportunity to connect our African songwriters and producers with the global talent signed to Warner Chappell. We are very excited about the future and we see this as a key alliance to support, help and develop incredible African talent globally.”
