Soundcloud Artist Verifications, now available

Soundcloud has officially added artist verifications to their platform.

Starting November 18th, thousands of artist's profiles will receive a blue checkmark, just like you see on other platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Twitter. 

If an artist wants to request verification, their account has to meet the following requirements:

• It represents a well-known and/or highly searched-for artist, collective, DJ, label, curator or podcaster.
• It must be a unique profile. Fan accounts or impersonators are not verifiable. 
• It doesn’t contain any misleading information and complies to their terms of use.
• It must have a bio, profile photo and at least one track uploaded.

In addition, users will also notice that orange Pro star badges are now exclusively on the profiles of Soundcloud’s Pro subscribers. These were often “misused and misinterpreted” as verification on the platform.
