New KYC compliance integrations and required information on the platform

General

In accordance with updated expectations from our partnered stores/services, Too Lost is proud to announce we have recently upgraded our KYC Compliance policies.

Starting July 27th 2022, we have begun implementing new policies and safeguards to better protect our clients and our platform from fraudulent and abusive behavior.

In partnership with several stores and services, we have identified specific problematic releases and frequently offending accounts, and have taken necessary actions to clean this up. We have issued takedowns of over 15000 releases that are connected to and/or suspected of fraudulent activity. Additionally, we have banned over 2500 user accounts connected to these behaviors.

Newly enforced internal policies in connection to our Anti-Fraud Policy have also been implemented. You may notice some additional verification checkpoints and required information throughout the platform. We believe this will not only better protect our platform security - but also improve the overall experience for our artists and labels.

Please note, we have NOT updated our Anti-Fraud Policy. We have only implemented new safeguards to properly identify offenders of the existing policy.

If you are interested in reviewing our Anti-Fraud Policy, please see here: https://toolost.com/anti-fraud

As a reminder, this policy is always available for your reference and it is accessible from our site footer.

Furthermore, we have now deployed Veriff, a state of the art KYC compliance technology. All new and existing users will now be required to validate their identity via our new systematic prompt within the platform.

We are confident these new integrations will help properly combat the fraudulent activities our industry is currently experiencing.

As an aggregation technology platform providing services to both platforms and artists/labels, Too Lost attempts to remain neutral on disputes. However, account restrictions are applied to protect both our store partners, and also our good intentioned artist & label clients who are at risk if these policies are not properly policed.

If you believe your account was wrongfully terminated or you believe your content was removed erroneously, we want to give you the opportunity to plead your case. We have created a new Appeal Form, available here: https://www.toolost.com/support/account-dispute

Appeal submissions will result in a secondary review and an internal investigation from our content operations team. Should this investigation result in an account reinstatement, you will be notified and your previous account credentials will no longer be restricted. If our conducted review results in an affirmation of our initial decision, you will not be able to submit a dispute again on behalf of the same account.

Please note, you must submit this form with your Too Lost account email. Submissions made from a different email address will not be considered in connection to your account restriction.
