License your music to YouTubers with Lickd, available on Too Lost
Lickd is a digital micro-licensing platform that allows content creators on YouTube to legally use music for their video creations.
YouTube Creators can lose their ad revenue from copyright claims, so many tend to stay away from using commercial music in their video content. Lickd provides a licensed catalog of music that is able to be synchronized on YouTube UGC videos.
Lickd charges its user per song and based on how many views the video is estimated to receive.
The pricing is as follows:
$8 per song - 50K average views per video
$13 per song - 100K average views per video
$26 per song - 200K average views per video
$50 per song - 350K average views per video
$80 per song - 500K average views per video
$100 per song - 750K average views per video
$130 per song - 1M average views per video
$230 per song - 2M average views per video
$330 per song - 2M+ average views per video
This provides Lickd the opportunity to pay artists for the music they release while at the same time, giving content creators licenses to use the material on YouTube videos.
All licenses come with an End User License Agreement which will act as a proof of license in the case that YouTube provides a copyright strike. Lickd has partnered with Too Lost, so any musical content distributed via Too Lost to YouTube Content ID will be automatically greenlisted when a license is properly secured within Lickd. Royalties generated from these secured licenses are provided to Too Lost artists and labels as soon as they are made payable.
