AWA is a Japanese music service founded in 2015. It has since become one of the largest music streaming services in Japan. 


AWA has around 30 million songs available and nearly six million user generated playlists.


The regular AWA subscription is ¥980 Japanese yen per month ($9.30) and a student discount is available for ¥480 Japanese yen per month ($4.55). This plan includes On-Demand Playlists, Playlist Creation, Lyrics Display, Highlight Playback, Full Song Playback, Offline Playback and Unlimited Playback Time. 


The free AWA plan offers all of the same features, with advertisements and no offline playback. 


FOCUS is a section where AWA provides recommended music based on curators and editorialists who work at AWA. The TRENDS feature offers users various rankings and popularity charts. The GENRE/MOOD section is where you can choose music across different genres and mood categories.
