Xiami is a digital music streaming service founded in 2007. The streaming service was acquired by Alibaba in 2013.

Here are some quick facts about Xiami music:

  • Xiami has over 14.5 million monthly active users
  • Xiami has over 20 million songs and 500 million playlists
  • Xiami has over 330 different styles of music
  • Xiami has over 40,000 independent artists

Xiami is the smallest out of the top five Chinese music apps (QQ Music, NetEase Cloud, KuGou, and KuWo).

By streaming a specific track, you get access to live performances of the song, music videos, behind-the-scenes footage, outtakes, remakes or covers, reviews and real-time user comments. All in one place.

Xiami is extremely social. Users can create music parties around an artist or album. By joining one, you get huddled into a chat room where music is determined by a DJ. You can leave comments for fellow party-goers, explore related hashtags, and even take a spin as the DJ.

You can also make song dedications, and assign songs to specific memories, photos or moments.

Xiami also allows you to customize your app's colors, look and feel. You can even raise your own Xiami. Xiami in Mandarin translates to shrimp, and on the app, you get to raise your own shrimp pet. Kinda cool.

If you want to distribute your music to Xiami and 200+ other music stores & platforms, you can do so with Too Lost. You can sign up here!
