MonkingMe is an online digital streaming service founded in 2015.


Based in Barcelona, the DSP currently has more than 2 million app downloads and is continuously forming new partnerships with artists and labels to deliver more content to their users. 


MonkingMe was created to provide listeners a free option to stream and download music; and still make sure the artist gets paid. MonkingMe pays artists through use of advertisements on the platform. 


App users can also buy virtual crypto-coins called “Bananas”. Having more Bananas gives you the ability to skip ads for a specific time. Users can also obtain these “Bananas” by interacting with different non-intrusive ads. 


MonkingMe has its own currency via Kin, a blockchain technology company. This currency is used to incentivize users to interact with advertisements. By doing so, users can listen to music for free and artists can continue to get paid for licensing their music to MonkingMe.
