Beyoncé and Peloton team up for content partnership

Peloton (NASDAQ: PTON) announced a new multi-year content partnership with GRAMMY award winning artist Beyonce. 


Beyonce and Peloton will be working together to create various curated workout classes for their 3.6 million members.


“Peloton and I both believe that the power of music can help uplift, motivate and inspire those on their fitness journeys,” Beyonce said.


As part of this new partnership, Peloton and Beyonce also announced students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) will be eligible to receive a free two-year Peloton membership. It is estimated that around 40,000 students will be able to utilize this promotion. 


“Beyonce and Peloton worked closely to create a series of themed workout experiences… across multiple fitness categories, including indoor cycling, running, strength, bootcamp, yoga and meditation,” Peloton said.


Peloton has also stated that “Beyonce is the most requested artist by Peloton’s global community”


The exercise company did not disclose the financial terms of the deal.
