Artist Spotlight: Thouxanbanfauni
When discussing the early days of “The SoundCloud Era” it is impossible to leave Thouxanbanfauni out of the discussion. The 28 year old musician is considered one of the early pioneers of the underground rap scene, influencing a lot of the newer artists coming out today.
It was Thouxanbanfauni’s unique voice, lyrics, and instrumental choices that set himself apart from other rappers making music around the same time in late 2015. Songs such as “Rihanna Wrist”, “Fake Fwm?” and “Chance” put Thouxanbanfauni on the map as an artist that was on the rise.
Fauni was also collaborating with Atlanta rapper UnoTheActivist at this time, another artist that was claiming his spot as a staple in the rap community. The duo worked well together releasing songs like “Amazing” and “Leango”, pushing them both to the forefront of music. Working with producers such as 808LOUIE, ICYTWAT, and DJYOUNGKASH, Fauni’s discography continued to grow.
On November 21st, 2016 Fauni released the music video to his song “Wish the Worst”. The video currently sits at over 13 million views and is regarded as one of the songs that pushed Fauni ahead of the other musicians at the time.
As time went on, Fauni continued to release projects such as “The Ex Files”, “Requiem”, and in 2018 putting out “The Lost Files”. In 2019 Fauni released “For Christ Sake 2” a collaboration project consisting of songs with UnoTheActivist.
Fauni is still constantly releasing music, pleasing his current fans and drawing the attention of new listeners.
